Evangelical Christians more concerned about fighting gays than fighting poverty

It almost bores me to keep talking about this but here is another example of how hijacking a religion isn't just for Muslims. Rev. Joel Hunter President elect of the Christian Coalition, the group originally founded by Pat Robertson, will resign even before he has a chance to take office. Rev. Hunter resigned out of frustration after he attempted to expand the role of the Christian Coalition beyond just opposing gay marriage and abortion to other "controversial" issues like raising the minimum wage and protecting the environment. My opinion: sounds like the Christian Coalition is more concerned about protecting conservative Republican ideals than those of Jesus. Read More Here
